In 2004, he enrolled at the University of New South Wales to study law but ultimately left the program to follow his passion for medicine and community health. In 2006, he enrolled at Bond University, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine degree in 2010, with a focus on surgery.

Throughout his medical education, Faisal consistently excelled in his studies' practical and theoretical components, ranking at the top of his class. He also devoted time to volunteering in student-run clinics, conducting health assessments, and providing care to underserved communities on the Gold Coast. He also completed a Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course, which equipped him with specialized knowledge for pediatric emergencies.
